Meghalaya Election 2018 – Dates, Polling Schedule, Updates & Parties: As like as other states the Meghalaya also going to witness the election period sooner, the Election commission known as EC will take the responsibility for the conduction of the polls in the state, the state has total 60 assembly constituencies or the Vidhan Sabha’s which would be going through the polling process, once the polling is done the counting of the votes are done at various counting centers and timely updates are provided to the media houses etc, the dates are not yet officially announced but we could expect the same in Nov/Dec 2018.
EC will release a notification in which the entire details would be there for the Meghalaya Elections 2018, the major parties as per the previous polls are Indian National Congress, United Democratic Party, Hill State People’s Democratic Party and others including the independent candidates, as of now the Lok Sabha elections are also set to be held next year, but before the same Meghalaya Assembly Election 2018 are held, just stay tuned with us as we will be giving you latest updates on the same. The voting phase will undergo in one phase or multiple phases in all the districts. Usually if the state is bigger and have many seats it could be done in multiple phases, but usually, for small states, it’s done in single phase only.
